The made to measure shoes are available in every desires colour, leather and embossing – like Boxcalf, Chevreaux, Scotchgrain, Peccaries, Elefant, Ostrich or Crocodile leather – in three different sole thicknesses – with metal plate or rubber edge .On demand a foot bed will be build in. Also pre build handmade shoes can be purchased out of our workshop. There are a lot of classic models in different sizes with widths on stock.

Handmade shoes since generations

The traditional workshop in the inner city of Vienna was established by Béla Nagy in the year 1927,  before Georg Materna took over the shop in the year 1973 and moved to the Mahlerstrasse. „The profession of a shoemaker is very creative. Cause I work with leather, iron and wood, no sign of a monotonous work”, tells Georg Materna.

 

          
 

Beside numerous decorations on international shoemaker-competitions he was honoured with the profession and honour title “Kommerzialrat” by the president of Austria Thomas Klestil 1996.

“to look over his grandfather’s shoulder”, for this Georg Materna made his decision in his early youth. He obtained his master exam in the Year 1962.
